How Open Mind Adventures is Different

Open Mind Adventures’ coaching, training and consulting work is based on five tenets;

Repeating what’s worked in the past rarely brings extraordinary results — it just makes you stale.

Organizations are not machinesthey are fields of energy in motion in which individuals, departments, divisions, and stakeholders affect each other.

Optimal organizational cultures cannot be generated by senior leaders alone; you need a shared ownership mentality in which everyone, not just committees, has a voice. (And don’t think you are getting the real scoop with employee surveys.)

Collaboration cannot be mandated; it grows from emotional intelligence, a desire to contribute to something meaningful, and the willingness to hold your need to be right lightly.

It’s not enough to try to reduce stress through exercise, meditation, good diet etc. because most people are too busy to maintain a committed practice. Instead, we need to teach people to stop fighting pressure–the energy of change–and use it to enhance their performance and well-being.

“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.”

                                                                             ― Isaac Asimov
