I’m a change accelerator with decades of experience in personal and professional coaching, collaborative teams and cultures, and mindfulness-in-action/stress reduction programs.

My passion and purpose is to help people, teams and organizations unleash their potential.

In 1997 I founded Open Mind Adventures, an international firm based in the U.S., which provides state of the art approaches to making change that matters. My methodology integrates psychological and organizational theory with a deep experiential understanding of the principles that underlie all high performance, creative and meditative states. This approach propels people to take exponential leaps in their personal and professional growth which positively affects their well-being, relationships and the organizations they serve.

In 2015 my book Stress Less Achieve More; Simple Ways to Turn Pressure into a Positive Force in Your Life was published by AMACOM. Rather than the usual formula for stress reduction, which people are often too busy to pursue, I suggest that pressure is a powerful gift that can enhance performance, relationships, creativity and well-being while raising states of consciousness.  I then provide personal and team practices that have proven successful in a wide range of companies.  The book is available in English, Mandarin, and Arabic. It was voted one of seventeen most inspiring books to read in 2017 by Thrive Global.

My work in the development of collaboration and organizational unity within high-pressured environments includes the following:

  • I consulted and coached the Senior V.P. of R& D of Chanel USA assisting him in developing an emotionally intelligent, collaborative senior level team. This team then rolled out the collaborative approach throughout their division. The results were 16 innovations now in market development, a leap in employee engagement and accountability, and a culture based on shared ownership for success in which everyone including administrators became idea generators.
  • My work with trauma surgeons and ER doctors at North Broward Hospital District in building a collaborative working relationship helped them save their trauma center.
  • I facilitated the development of a vision and productive ways of working between management and unions of Broward County’s emergency service division that produced a shared vision, a 90% reduction in grievances, and the easiest negotiations they had experienced in years.

I’ve been privileged to work with senior and mid level leaders from such organizations as The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, Novartis Latin America, Intel, NASA, Dolce & Gabbana, MasterCard, Colgate Palmolive Company and First Merit Bank.  I’ve also worked with numerous municipalities, universities, and nonprofit organizations.

I am the creator of Shared Ownership for Success, a large group real-time “edutainment” process for enrolling a few or a thousand associates at one time in an organization’s strategic or culture change initiative. I’ve successfully applied this approach in such organizations as the Port of Singapore Authority, Miami- based Aerothrust Corporation, a leading Tennessee manufacturing company, and the tax division of Prager Metis, an international accounting firm.

In the mid 1980s I created The Women’s Development Company, which was the first mentoring and training company for women leaders in the San Francisco Bay area. My intent then and now is to enhance and support women’s empowerment and leadership ability so they may lead us into a new, more conscious and equitable world.

To help people use the pressure of these disruptive time to transform. I created The Roar of the MORE, a virtual interactive mind/body/energy mastery coaching and training series.  The series helps you clarify who you are becoming, identify the limited beliefs, behaviors and energetic habits that hold you back, and guides you to embody the upgraded, more conscious version of who you really are. An executive from Visa said the series was “Life changing.”

I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston University and interned at Massachusetts General Hospital under the auspices of Harvard Medical School. During this time I trained under Dr. Matt Dumont, then Commissioner of Mental Health for the State of Massachusetts. I am a California licensed psychotherapist with decades of experience.  I have been listed in Who’s Who in American Women, which made my mother very proud.

“Aimee was my Executive Coach when I was a Senior Vice President with a prominent fragrance, cosmetic and skin care developer and manufacturer. She helped chart our way while we were on an extensive and extraordinary journey towards servitude leadership. With Aimee’s significant assistance and guidance, we were able to transform into a high performance leadership team. Along the way, amazing creativity and productivity was unleashed in our entire organization. We were able to realize what was just a dream. Aimee challenged me to grow as a leader by journeying beyond the borders of my comfort zone. This was not easy for me to do, but being the great coach she is, she was there to support, motivate and challenge me. Without a doubt, this was the pinnacle of my thirty five year career. My only regret was that I hadn’t met Aimee many years earlier.”    Peter McHale
